I have felt that for year NFFTY has betrayed its ideal by leading the example that in order to succeed in film you need to make a commercial. Using the work and voices of minors in advertising for Volvo, Vitamin water and others has sent a horrible message to the impressionable audience in attendance. The festival has a lot of nerve billing itself as a film festival as most of what they screen are advertisements

Questioning authority is a conundrum because those with authority actually don't have it. C'mon, I thought this was a largely gay literary Sloghouse. We've all read Genet's "The Maids."
