I came across "Dies Irae" several years ago, and meant to look into it, then I got sidetracked by Slog, Hollywood movies, and my favorite soap-opera of all time, "DC Beltway: As the Spin Turns". Thanks Brendan, will try and take a step back to appreciate "Dies Irae."

So the sidewalk artist is saying what exactly? Seeking justice will get you fucked? Nonsense. I don't don't shudder at myths about gods flying in from outer space and destroying anyone either. As for Jesus, I don't believe what was written about him by a lot of self interested nuts and hypocrites who ran the Roman Empire and were determined to destroy the Jews. Although I appreciate the etymology.

@2

I think that's the beauty of graffiti and sidewalk artists- they aren't saying something EXACTLY. But please, any experts out there who want to answer Peabrain's whiny question?

@ 2. My translation: "No one is innocent."
5
"Innocent" of what? Guilty of what? Being human?

@ 5. Yes.
7
@4: Yes, although I read it (more specifically) as an admonition against those who would judge.

@6 A conundrum of synthetic existence. The universe is indifferent.

""Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled."

"Receive" is spelled "receive," not "recieve." Please make a note of it.

Please wait...
