Hate to be a total pain in the ass BUT do you have to have auto-play movies on the front page?
2
Dear Amazombies,

Welcome to my last 10 years of working at Microsoft. Have fun.
3
IT TAKES 18 HOURS TO PUSH AN AUTOPLAY LINK OFF THE FRONT PAGE

Paul, how could you post this and not mention the part where Colbert asks people to purchase "California" by Edan Lepucki?

They even picked Powell's Books (http://www.powells.com/biblio/9780316250…) as the independent bookstore to buy it from.

That strikes me as quite an oversight.

Why all the hatred for amazon?

Oh I forgot....its the socialist thing to do to hate any and all financial success.

why dont you loser socialist pack your shit up and move to a socialist country instead of always trying to tear this one down.

socialist hipsters should be shot on site...or at least run over on their little peddle bikes

Why did it get to the point of nearly monopolizing the market for there to be a noteworthy backlash against Amazon? Was the mistreatment of warehouse workers not enough for peoe to condemn this shitty company?
7
@6 Exactly.

Treat workers like slaves, well... that's bad, but Amazon is just so darn convenient.

What? Choke my publisher out of the marketplace!?!

Well. Them's fight'n words!
8
I just want a ton of those stickers so I can plaster them all over the SLU neighborhood.
9
Why stop there? Let's just all hate Capitalism. That's the real problem.

I just bought $150 worth of birthday gift crap on Amazon. Suck it, Slommunists. Please boycott it (wait, did you actually have any cash to BUY anything on Amazon in the first place?), hopefully that will drive their prices a bit further down so I can get some more awesome discounts.

AUTOPLAY GOES BELOW THE JUMP!

HOW MANY TIMES DO YOU NEED TO BE TOLD!

@6 "Was the mistreatment of warehouse workers not enough for peoe to condemn this shitty company?"

It never is. As proof I offer Apple / Foxconn as one often discussed business with shabby practices. If you really want to see worker mistreatment take a look at the garment and shoe industries. $200 shirts and shoes made by little kids making $9 a month, and that's not even hyperbole...

Please wait...
