Aaaaaand we still don't know whether or not The Stranger pays better than the industry average. Or if their female employees earn better than 73% of what their male employees take home. Or anything else about their pay structure.

Ah well, at least they've stopped that thing where they'd gleefully refer to their interns as "unpaid" at every opportunity.

Ansel (the author here) outright lied in his News Shorts last week about the new bus saving bill by Sawant.

The Stranger has put forth whitewashing articles from "the other side" and Meinert.

They also censor comments regularly if they don't like it. The Kelly O conversation in the "Appropriating Mexican culture" article from a few weeks back.

@9: I do not call disagreements hate speech, I referenced you for recent comments about how women are responsible for violence against them because they date assholes, and that a lot of Africans are lazy, and African women are the bigger problem because they have too many kids.

For the record, I firmly disagree with The Stranger's blanket anti-rural comments and stances when they are made. Criticizing religious thought or encroachment into secular spheres is not denigrating all Christians.

You can not deny your racist and sexist comments, which anyone can see from your history.

you can't fault vice for not having a conscience. this is how
business operates. if your employees are willing to work for
slave wages, then that is what they get. never mind that vice
regularly covers human / civil rights issues across the globe,
yet ignore them in the finance department. and if the pay is
a joke, you can always get a second / third job at mcdonalds
like every patriotic american. if you don't like the situation,
just quit watching their material. there is superior journalism
and content out there, you just have to look. also, as others
have said, just how different is "the stranger" from "vice"?
