@2: That would be accurate if Congress actually ever passed any laws. Mr. Obama DOES have the authority to pardon (preemptively if need be) federal offenses such as immigration violations.
Just after the $15 seatac vote, SEIU sacked several young staffers who objected to (what I agreed were) unfair working conditions. The employee union was headed by an SEIU management person and was no help. I don't trust that organization one bit.
@5: As opposed to the dog and pony show that is the GOP-run House of Representatives? We're in unusual and trying times. If Congress refuses to do its job, we shouldn't demand that the President shy away from (legal) stopgap measures just because it might hurt some feelings.
