Never heard of beats.

I buy and download or stream the stuff I bought all the time. I rarely listen to Pandora, never to spotify, they're just coke and pepsi, right? I'd rather listen to songs I want to listen to rather than songs a robot thinks I'm going to like (the robot is hardly ever correct).

But I'm probably just an anomalous outlier.

If my gym wasn't a goddamn faraday cage, I'd be streaming music too. As it stands, iTunes is still my friend.

@ Urgatha (and wxPDX to a degree): Spotify is actually quite different than Pandora. With Spotify, you can make your own playlists/listen at will, etc., as well as download music to your phone/offline device and take it with you (so that you're not streaming when you listen). No robots/algorithms involved. I never could get into Pandora's model either, for the same reason you mention.

@1: Great human curated service with a few hundred thousand subscribers. Shitty headphones created by Monster Cable, though. Apple's desperate to grab teenagers, I guess.

There's not a Tech Bubble, there's a Marketing Bubble.

so glad that noted GlassHole, Nick Starr, previously Tweeted that Apple would never do this, obviously he knows what he's talking about.

Please wait...
