What exactly are these "problems with the president's health care law" to which people keep referring? More Americans have coverage, at lower rates, with increased benefits & no exemptions for pre-existing conditions. So, how is this a problem - unless you're an executive for an insurer (and even then, you're still making bank because of the larger pool of insured) or a member of the GOP who continues to claim the plan is a failure in spite of all the evidence to the contrary?
2
@1: It's making people's rates go up and their plans get cancelled, as far as most Republicans know.
Man, the issues with the website are so last-year.
3
@1: in case you haven't noticed, large insurers have not been leading the opposition to the ACA. The main opposition has been coming from the Tea Party.

Here come the chickens....now we need eggs.

NEVER FORGIVE, NEVER FORGET THE WAIT TIMES!
6
Wait, is it hip to hate on ebay now? I didn't get the memo.
7
I think it's cruelty to humans to jail them. And I think it's absurd to jail them for having sex with animals.
8
It's "eBay," and "who knew" is pretty out of touch for this blog.
9
Every time one of these decisions comes down, I wonder if Scalia takes net pleasure from correctly predicting the future in his dissent or net pain from the arrival of that future?
10
What the hell is your beef with eBay? Man, sometimes I just can't figure you out. Are you really that fucked-up on drugs?

@1: The back end isn't completed - the govt. is just paying insurer's estimates.
- If someone's income increases and they underreport it, or forget to add a bonus or promotion, the IRS will levy strong fines against the taxpayer placing that citizen in a criminal status.
- The premiums are okay for younger folks, but if you're above 50 you're looking at premiums as high as COBRA used to be.
- If the government ran health care as it should be, we wouldn't be having the VA problems spanning multiple administrations.
- There are fewer doctors and fewer hospitals participating in the networks. For example, Children's Hospital in Seattle.

No you're more than welcome that these are just glitches and will be fixed, and Obamacare is God's gift to Earth and I won't argue back because I know how important your savior is to you.
12
@4: I'm terrified to wonder what the "eggs" are in your metaphor. Hargoblem etc.
13
@11:
Bullshit.
Recently out company did a force reduction so we looked into the cost of Obama care vs Cobra in case we were affected and Obama care was WAY cheaper. And we're closer to 60 than 50.
14
Dominic: WTF? The Seahawks are at the Big House today. No mention?

I know it's supposed to be hip and funny to say, "Who know [whatever] was still around?" But we're talking about the site with the 11th-highest traffic in the country. Makes you look pretty silly and out of touch.

Gish Gallop alert @11.

Raindrop, you were almost reasonable and interesting for a while over the last few weeks, but then you floor the swell pedal on the right-wing crazytown theatre organ.

Pulling @13 above the Unregistered muck:

Bullshit.

Yes, anecdotes≠data, blah blah. Physician, heal thyself.

@11: Nothing you said there is true (other than the fact that lying on your taxes is illegal, I guess), and the rest is baseless opinion.

@12

Since you asked ... or rather, mused aloud.

Toyota ‘Bullish’ on Hydrogen Amid California Station Plans

Plans by the U.S. state to provide about $47 million for 28 new stations selling hydrogen for fuel-cell cars, along with 10 already in operation and 16 more in development, will be enough to support at least 10,000 vehicles in California, Toyota’s Jim Lentz said in an interview yesterday at a Fortune conference in Laguna Niguel, California. He declined to give a price or volume goal for the sedan Toyota is bringing to market.

@ GayDudeForRaindrop - My rates went down (by quite a bit) when the ACA went into effect. I was born under Eisenhower. You do the math.
20
@18: So the "chickens" are the cars and the "eggs" are the fueling stations. Are you suggesting that chickens consume their own eggs?
22
another obama "too little too late" - i know his presidency is essentially done, but will this motherfucker ever do anything progressive? do anything progressive before the media (weak as it is) pushes first.

nope. he will be a corporate shill, droning innocent people until the end of his term.

Please wait...
