Yeah, one person shouldn't massacre the law and the will of the people.
For example, say a guy was convicted by a judge and jury of his peers and sentenced to prison; a single governor shouldn't just grant that guy clemency.
Goddamn. Couldn't we maybe do a swap thing at least one day a year where terse and pithy commenters like Urgutha and Max Solomon and DOUG and Fnarf (and their counterparts across the country) trade jobs with all the pussified reporters who repeatedly let people like Fuckabee serve up these piping-hot shit sandwiches?
Hey Huckabee, from everyone here in Washington state, I'd just to let you know we all still think you can get fucked because of Maurice Clemmons. Choke on some Chick-Fil-A, shit bird.
@8, I know; that still doesn't mean news organizations couldn't assign and publish (print/web) stories highlighting the hypocrisy. But they wouldn't, for fear of offending some real or imagined segment of their audience.
If you're following this case, yesterday the State asked their Supreme Court for an emergency stay. The Supreme Court only gave the plaintiffs until noon today to submit a reply, which is pretty fucked up in my book.
Dear Huckabee: The Supreme Court IS more powerful than the governor, 135 elected representatives, and 75% of the state. The lower court is just implementing settled law from the Supremes. You brainless twit.
Friday Night Massacre could be a cool band. Friday Night Massacre of the Law could be an alright band. Friday Night Massacre of the Law and the Will of the People probably suck.
What part of "the legislative branch enacts laws, the executive branch administers laws, and the judicial branch interprets laws" doe this mindless POS still not fathom?
For example, say a guy was convicted by a judge and jury of his peers and sentenced to prison; a single governor shouldn't just grant that guy clemency.
Which is precisely why we don't live in a democracy.
Um....no. He positioned himself as though he were a member of only one branch: the judicial. Which he is.
However, the plaintiffs came through. Admirably.
