The UK seems to have discovered Seattle. Well, we are probably the most "European" of American cities.

Perhaps if the NYT editorials on global warming were more melodramatic, dire, and foreboding, then maybe more people would take it seriously.

@3: Don't you dare ask the NYT to dumb down their reporting just because the FOX-viewer demographic has been desensitized to actual journalism not slathered heavily with manufactured outrage.
6
@3 why do you hate America?

The same tactics Moscow used in Crimea are now being seen in Donetsk as well. Those same "little green men" are now in the Donbas region, supporting separatists who have taken over police and administrative buildings. It's the same game of Russian meddling followed by denials from Moscow. (See the same bearded man showing up in Georgia 2008 and eastern Ukraine 2014.)

Except that the NYT retracted the article (http://www.nytimes.com/2014/04/23/world/…) one day before you published that story, Brendan! Your man in Kiev, Collison, doesn't care about that. Nor does he care about the putchists in Kiev making deals with the IMF and EU before the national elections even though they have little support in eastern Ukraine. We don't really know what going on in Ukraine (example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zDPJ-ucny… , note that is the German 60 minutes on state TV) and I would certainly not drink the Kool-Aid.

@6: Non sequitur, your thoughts are uncoordinated.
