Lambert House isn't on that page, oddly. Hrm...

But, Gay City is.

I'm sure many varied opinions exist about the Country Doctor. My review: hanging out in the waiting room, fun - the medical service received, blah.

The Project Room!

Hey Stranger Boss - maybe time to hire someone who gives a rip about air, water, forests, climate - little things like that?

If you are mentioning great literary minded nonprofits, don't forget the Bushwick Book Club Seattle: http://www.seattlefoundation.org/npos/Pa…

Bringing music and books together for a night of literature and song. New programming just started to teach youth songwriting to schools that are in need of arts education.

@5 That's me, but no, they're not hiring science-communication types. It's more of an arts rag these days.

Has anyone found a way to donate through the GiveBIG promotion without giving Click and Pledge a 2.85% transaction processing fee? I'd like my money to really stretch.

Here is a small environnmental organization that even a small donation would be a big help: Friends of North Beach Park. Look them up on the Seattle Foundation website or google Nature Intrudes.

Here's the link now -- still a few hours left:

Other environmental organizations are EarthCorps, Green Seattle Partnership, Seattle Parks Foundation, Groundswell NW, and the Washington Native Plant Society, all of whom have supported Friends of North Beach park in our work.

I think I gave to four charities. I'm not sure. Firefox threw up a blank faas.clickandpledge.com page when I submitted each credit card donation. 2.85% buys some stellar web programming. When I think of all the out-of-work web developers who could do better blindfolded and after three drinks I weep. I let Seattle Foundation know.

Please wait...
