@1 If the police presence was the same as previous years, yeah there would have been alot more damage, more arrests, but you had police from Kent, Renton, etc volunteer to help. So the large police force out last night basically kept the angst teen anarchist drama to a minimum.
The bros at the end are ridiculous as always (really no different than frat boys when all is said and done) but all in all it was well done. Some folks have wised up, which is good. No-smashy is smart business.
It was entertaining to see the tagline "STREET PROTESTS TURN VIOLENT up all night on Fox, as reporters walked and talked alongside a straggly few decidedly non-violent dudes. Three guys jog around someone to get into a better position and they're saying "wait, there's a burst of action there".
@10: That crossed my mind, but Fnarf is typically precise enough to type 'KCPQ' or 'Channel 13' unless he's tying to percolate things up to Roger Ailes.
My favorite was on CBS, when the crowd was walking uphill on 2nd by Benaroya, against traffic. The reporter actually blurted out -- in response to nothing happening but people walking through stopped cars -- something like,
"This is what happens! We issued our warning, to get out of the city while you could."
the players tried to take the field
the marching band refused to yield.
Do you recall what was revealed?

They had live coverage for awhile.
Which is funny. The mainstream media will complain a lot about these people but one of the reasons a lot of them are out there is to get on tv.
About as edgy as Eminem, circa 2004.
