I've never understood the love for La Jetee. I find it an incredibly long 12 minutes without much payoff.

I like La Jetee, but I wonder if it influenced so many filmmakers in part due to its most obvious shortcoming. It's film—it's well photographed, it's a good story and it relies heavily on your own imagination—but it isn't a movie. Inspiring and frustrating at once.

Have to agree with @1 @2 about La Jetée

Looking forward to Mood Indigo, Damnation, Dear White People, and The Skeleton Twins at #SIFF

It never occurred to me until now that the acronym for Vancouver Art Gallery is VAG. Yes my mind is in the gutter

Last night Charles named his 3 favorite films, none of which were La Jetee. There's a difference between greatest an favorite. Those 3 btw? To Sleep with Anger, Blade Runner (duh), and North by Northwest. You're welcome.

Too bad Gov. Dimslee doesn't have all his marbles. Maybe he could get us some of this hydrogen funding and jobs.

Yes, let's endear vigilantes to little girls, teach them that they can beat and kill people because they are on the side of right. Also McDonald's toy equality... help them send a message for good in this society so they can push more garbage meals with plastic toys to whine for.

Fuck.

Please wait...
