Someday soon those cute little robots will be murdering us all in our sleep

why can't the mayor and five council members sign off on raising the MW in seattle to at least 11 or 12 NOW ?
put it into effect in about seven weeks?
isn't there consensus on THAT much? oh wait, the elites don't want a raise at all, really, or else they'd of done that by now.

and it looks like it doesn't require the label to be on the front of the package or require labelling of animals/animal products after they've been fed "gmo poison" for their entire lives.

Isn't that kind of like the USDA saying it's ok to start packaging chicken breasts with obvious solid tumors in them ?

ā€¢ THE BILL: To read H.112, the GMO labeling bill, visit http://tiny.cc/8jesex.

ā€¢ WHAT THE BILL DOES: Requires food manufacturers to label many products containing genetically modified organisms that are sold in Vermont starting July 1, 2016. Meat, dairy, liquor and prepared food sold in restaurants are exempt from labeling.

ā€¢ WHAT THE LABEL WOULD SAY: The bill offers three options for wording: "partially produced with genetic engineering," "may be produced with genetic engineering," or "produced with genetic engineering."

Beck is distancing himself from Bundy because Beck is mormon and knows about Bundy's mormon family history of polygamy and the family having members of the United Order of Enoch (now Mormon fundy groups like Apostolic United Brethren and FLDS Church). They may have been declared apostate. I don't remember.

Interestingly, and ironically, the United Order were - get this - communists.

In that they disbelieved in private property and only shared communal property. It didn't last long, however.

Now Bundy is (incorrectly) arguing some vague concept of private property rights and that he has some long standing right to federal land. The irony is delicious.

However his would be a very tenuous claim through his Grandmothers's mother's family. And at that a decade short since the federal government preceded them.

More proof that Obama is a non-American secret Muslim Kenyan. He bowed to a foreign robot and he plays soccer! What are the secrets of Benghazi???!!!!

(Okay, I should probably stop, because my sarcasm is wearing thin.)
7
Sources please on your GMO poison assertion. (Thoroughly debunked Seralini and Senef quack science not allowed)
8
John Stewart has a 3-day back and forth going with Sean Hannity who has defended Bundy using federal land as 'serving to lower the price of beef for all Americans.' What a transparent sack of human feces?

Check Out That Prop 1 Results Map: Blue is yes, red/pink is no to transit.

Just to be a little more precise. This wasn't yes/no on transit. This was yes/no on Prop. 1, which had a 40% roads component. Maybe some of those no votes were premised on the same mistaken assumption that Anna unwittingly makes here. Then again, making it 40% roads wasn't going to sweeten the pot for a significant number of anti-transit voters anyway.
11
It doesn't matter what prop 1 was going to do that was good. It said "do you want to pay more tax", and that's anathema to Americans.

(I voted yes. But I grew up in tax-friendly Europe.)

#10

I want a 100% roads bill, a 100% local transit bill and a 100% regional transit bill.

Why mix?

Let the people pick...and pay for it with their property taxes.

The headline may be misleading, as the waste-energy plant has a contract with a company that sends biomedical waste, which could be fetal tissue, cancerous tissue and amputated limbs, but they have no idea what's been arriving in the sealed shipments.

The money quote:
"Commissioners did not say why they believe medical waste shipped to the plant should be free of fetal tissue."

Speaking of Manhattan...

Toyota Preparing For ā€˜The Next 100 Yearsā€™ With Fuel Cell Vehicles

a bold declaration for fuel cell vehicles was made by one of the largest banners prominently positioned high toward the atrium ceiling of the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, along with other signs strategically placed:

ā€œLetā€™s go for a ride,ā€ said Toyotaā€™s message with a picture of the FCV Concept, ā€œWeā€™re setting the next 100 years in motion.ā€

Fuel cell cars are still polluting, almost all fuel cells are from some form of carbon rich gas.

People in the burbs will be fine, they still got soundtransit and the buses that go out there are not being cut.

Oregon fetal tissue energy link doesn't work.

@14: These are the top five reasons why hydrogen fuel cells are a bad direction to go in:
1. HYDROGEN IS NOT A FUEL SUPPLY
2. HIBRODEN IS NOP A FEUL SPPLUY
3. HARGOBLEM LD NIY E VULL ZUBLY
4. MIDROHEM SI WOB DA FEWL ESPLAY
5. GYDROHEM NIZ TON A FWELL PUSPLY

1. Conservative pundits encourage "freedom!" behavior
2. Conservative media finds a "freedom!"-loving darling
3. Said darling says something indisputably stupid and ignorant as soon as the spotlight is on him.
4. Conservative media pundits say he is not indicative of their beliefs and that people should maintain their distance.
5. (Repeat)

Please wait...
