This is the problem with small-town American politics: they think drones are the problem, and then they argue against people like the ACLU who are fighting government surveillance which is a far, far more serious threat.
I seem to recall that right wingers were also against a national ID card because we could all be tracked and our guns taken, but now thanks to hand wringing over voter fraud we are moving toward having a federal ID card to prove citizenship.
#9: Actually they're just a technology that can be misused or not, just like police helicopters, gunships and tomahawk cruise missiles. There is nothing inherently scary about drones, and I'm more worried about commercial drones crashing into my house than being spied on by them. And don't take that to mean I'm endorsing drone strikes abroad or police surveillance locally.
Bullshit. You promised me a drone getting shot down and I expected to see a drone getting fucking shot down. Hell, all I saw was a lame screen effect and a quick cut.
We left-wingers got in so much trouble for being "anarchists" for opposing war, racism, and stuff, mostly peaceably and lawfully, 1968-'74 or so.
And here, we've got right-wingers openly calling for armed insurrection, and even picking up arms against federal agents, and nothing happens??
Friends, it's been a slow revolution, but the fascists are winning.
@1: you realize drone are part of the surveillance problem, right?
