Pasted away you say.

The owner of the house pasted away approximately two years ago and the no one currently lives there. The house is owned by family members and they routinely come by and care for the residence.

Ya know, Seattle police do very little patrolling the way you describe it. SPD operates on reports rather than driving around looking for crimes in progress. They do not have patrol routes that cover the whole city. The cars you do see driving around are usually on their way to take a report or filling time between calls. If you see something amiss on the street you should have zero expectation that the police will see it. My block for example has not had a police car drive down it in over a year. This is why Seattle has a more liberal interpretation of when you should call 911.

You have been checking 24/7/365? You are always looking out the window? No bathroom break? No fridge runs? No sleeping?

The only thing really claimed in the report is that a window was broken. But let's pontificate about the window being broken and an unoccupied home being a symbol for a broken family, shattered by a death not yet finalized due to the bills received for the hollow home.
(insert picture of an old bike left riderless, with lots of blue filter).

At approximately 1240 hrs, C/ pulled into the driveway and heard the alarm sounding. He looked around the residence and saw a broken window on the south side. The window contained an air conditioning unit and the upper portion of the window was broken.
Officers checked around the residence and did not discover any other damage and all of the doors were secure. It did not appear that anyone made entry. There was no evidence or fingerprints located.
