I don't hate him per se, but I find his dialogue style really overwrought. I can tell if something is Sorkin just going by the dialogue (even if I had no prior knowledge that he was involved with a project).
Sorkin has a distinctive style that is ripe for parody. This one gets the general tone right...but it could use some more specific Sorkinisms to really "nail" it. (For example, one wonders if Amy Schumer's legs "go all the way to the floor". It wouldn't be a Sorkin series if we weren't told that.
Truth is...even Sorkin's missteps (and oh boy has he made missteps) are at least interesting. When he connects, he's capable of writing compelling, intelligent television, theater and movies.
I'd think the list of producer/writers worthy of hatred would be long enough already by the time you got around to hating Sorkin, David. :)
Amy has really grown on me over the years. The 2nd season of her show keeps getting funnier and funnier and her stand-up specials have gotten progressively funnier.
In order to be able to BE parodied, you need to have an identifiable style that is well known by most of the public. Aaron is a perfect target because we know him through his work so well. I sometimes think Amy Schumer is funny, but she seems to be getting progressively more racist in my opinion. (this isn't an example of that)
It just looks like since his Poet Society days old Knox Overstreet is tired of watching all of his classmates make all the cheddar... if only he deserved it...

Heresy! Off with your head!

Same here, BTW.
