Your failure to provide any useful description of the perpetrator (other than as a “young man”), notwithstanding the apparent availability of firsthand witnesses and an apprehension, belies your journalistic prowess (or rather embarrassing lack thereof).
Perkins is here working after hours (they're 7am-2:30 guys). What a mess. There's a picture of the guy on the Capitol Hill Seattle blog and I'll turn in my surveillance recording for additional evidence. My insurance will cover it after $1000 deductible so it's fine. We're closed today while they order the glass.
We're pretty sure it was random. These windows are nice and big - and tempting probably. The cops said he'd recently been in a mental facility.
I seriously thought it was an April Fools joke so I didn't consider it urgent or anything until Justin sent me pictures. Haha!
We love you, Diana! You're the VERY best. Thank you for all you do for us! So glad it's covered but will still buy a lot more drinks soon and would love to box this dude's ears very, very, very hard.
I wouldn't be surprised if it was that mentally ill young man I've seen around those streets recently. He is extra-ordinarily animated and public about his actions.
…but seriously, this sucks and I'm sorry it happened to your gallery. The sad truth is that this is the hidden cost of cutting the budget for mental health programs. The $1,000 deductible and the several thousand more that the insurance co has to pay out, then the law enforcement and incarceration costs will all add up to way more than it would have cost to just keep this kid on his meds. The only bright side is that it was just property instead of some passerby's skull getting the rocks.
Ugh, this might have been the same guy who was kicking our crash bar last night at Annex. I thought he was drunk.
Diana, so sorry to hear it and nice to see your patience with the whole thing. We'll make sure to come buy some drinks when you are back open!

#9 Why can't you comprehend that busting out the windows of a business screws over the schleps that work there more than it hurts their corporate owners?
Number one reason Occupy lost broad support: misplaced aggression.

Is there a way ordinary people, part-time artists-wannabes who have attended different events and even performed few times in Vermillion, can do anything to help??????????
b. had a grudge against vermillion, crazy.
What does it matter what the perp looks like? SPD has already aprehended him, so you can forget about trying to claim any sort of reward or whatever.
And I have several really great ideas as to how to make use of some of that broken glass...
