I love her albums. I didn't expect to with her look and the annoying David Byrne posed weirdness, but she is great.

My first and only exposure to St. Vincent was this cover of Bad Girls from Bob's Burgers. Anyone who'll do songs from Bob's Burgers is alright in my book.

Her sound didn't really change after working with David Byrne, other than just continuing to evolve like it already had been album to album. The live theatricality definitely went up a few notches though. Last night's show was quite fun, but I gotta say, I left feeling kinda assaulted after neglecting to bring earplugs and Stevie Wonder-level sunglasses (every guitar solo pumped to 11! Constant flashing/swirling super-bright LED lights directly in your eyes!). But she's definitely worth checking out live or recorded. Check out the funky new song "Rattlesnake" for a taste of her current output.

It's the first show I attended for the year. Getting the feeling that 2014 will be filled with amazing performances such as as these as months go by.
