Whatever happened to the "secluded millionaire"?

The current ones are all whining noise boxes.

2
"The remarks I made pitting one group against another group in society were really meant to discourage pitting one group against another group in society."
3
Pitting one group against another is the EXACT BLUEPRINT for the political success of the conservative brand. They coined the term "wedge issue" for fucks sake. What a myopic, hypocritical fool.
4
You know who else said, "If my choice of words was inappropriate"?
5
They don't call it Home Despot for nothing.
6
What a tool...

I dated a girl who works for HD. You know that in addition to the crappy wages and part time hours she receives, they don't even offer an employee discount on purchases? Not even 10% or dibs on returns or anything.
8
The word choice was not so much inappropriate as stupid and the offensive statement remains.

I think boycotts are kind of stupid. On the other hand there aren't really any compelling reasons for me to choose Home Depot over Lowes.
9
@7 That's because certified kleptocrats like Langone assume that all of their employees spend their days alternating between sleeping on the job and stealing the merchandise.
10
Isn't he all about pitting one group (Billionaire CEO's) against another group (wage slaves)? Or is it that it is only okay when the 'other group' takes it up the a** in silence?
11
@9- Which just encourages employees to work less and steal shit when they can.

Thankfully we still have some really good lumber yards here in Seattle. A lot of the crap at Home Depot that you think you're getting a deal on can be had cheaper or much better right down the street.
Home Cheapo also gets manufacturers to make lower quality versions of their products just for sale at Home Cheapo. So you look up a product and see that everyone else is selling it for more…but it's actually not the same level of quality.

Not only is Langone an idiot, he is a mendacious idiot. While I have not read Hitler's every word, nothing in his commonly-available writings would translate from German into that sentence. It is, however, awfully close to part of Otto Wels's stump speech. Wels was the Social Democrat who ran against Hitler in 1932.

These fucking plutocrat morons don't know what they're talking about. They don't understand history. They don't understand economics. They don't understand class, or poverty, or compassion. And they don't care, because all they only understand is profit and greed. More, not less "class warfare" is needed in this country. Fuck you, very much, Mr. Langone.

Wealthy persons should stay out of politics. I know that's not possible but when you own Home Depot, or Costco or Lowes or any other large retail outlet, just stay home, go golfing let the company take care of itself and stay out of the political arena. The politicians in this country are screwed up enough without influence from wealthy persons trying to get favors and tax breaks.

Please wait...
