No self-respecting Portlander would ever display the Stars And Bars; but then, these folk don't look very much like self-respecting Portlanders. More like Beaverton or Tigard...

So, wait, are Seattle and Portland, like, ripping on each other now?! Because as someone who lives in Portland and very much likes and always talks up Seattle, I would have liked to have gotten that memo! And the portrayal of "Portland" as being earthy unibrow-clad breastfeeders who live next to the water...Really? Think about that for a sec... I get it - Portland IS small-time compared to many cities, but this was just generic and lazy (the accents?! C'mon! At least throw on some hipster condescension or Steampunk olde-timey-ness...OH WAIT!!!). Sigh.

@7: Funny you say that. I actually love love love Portland. It's the only other city that truly feels like home because to me it's pretty much exactly the same as Seattle (just slightly warmer and with more places to eat that I haven't been to yet). And that's exactly why I thought it'd be funny to portray the two cities so differently in the absurd reality that I'm creating with "Capitol Hill". But be assured that if "Capitol Hill" leads to war and bloodshed between our cities or terrible persecution of your fellow Portland-folk, I will donate all of the proceeds from "Capitol Hill" to a Portland Anti-Defamation League. Also I'm not nearly sophisticated or skinny enough to be a hipster.... But Steam-punk! That's a great idea. Maybe, when we do Season 5 - In Space!!!
