Not that I am going to click a video link, but if you are actually linking to a video of a person getting acid thrown in their face, it is exploitative and simply for empty shock value.
@12 Actually, for me, there's no place I'd rather settle down in and raise a family than a livable city like Seattle. Cities are just more fun than suburbs.
@15: Yes, but outside of the downtown area most of Seattle is just one big suburb, full of single-family homes and car-commuting families. People who live in Madrona or Wallingford or Magnolia or most of West Seattle like to pretend they're city dwellers because they have a Seattle address.
People have different opinions about the kinds of places that they would like to live and/or raise families and feel that their way is the best way because _________
If any of you do any travelling around the Rest Of Washington State or Oregon, and visit many of its small towns and cities, you may be amazed at how many of them look like Seattle, sans the big city infrastructure. But really, the housing stock, the look and feel, the rock garden walls, Craftsman homes and bungalows. It's all bits and pieces of Seattle spread around. And maybe there's a '62 Worlds Fair commemorative plate on the mantle. It's still their city.
