I'm confused why that graphic show's Bertha having gone much further than it has.

It's either at the end of zone 1, or the beginning of zone 2.

The Slog said as much six days ago. Clickbait.

Hello Harborview.

Yeah, this is like soooo embarrassing.

My friend. He's like...a tunnel.

We'll we all got drunk and he said...man, put this plug up my...you-know-what.

Well, next thing you know it's stuck.

Yeah, we just woke up and he was like, man, I feel lousy. Holy crap...where's that boring machine?!

And he just signed up for Obamacare and wants to know if it's gonna cost him a truckload or of you can just like, pull it out somehow.

how about.. now?
[looks at wrist ...realizes haven't worn a watch for years]
and... now?

the sad thing will remain stuck for the next three to eight point three months, selah. and yet it still won't quite add up to the boondoggle of a half dozen other large engineering boondoggles (including Brightwater). but nevertheless, just try to imagine the glee, ...the saliva, that this monster mess-up will provide various Slog writers. unlike "Bertha" there's no stopping the schadenfreude juggernaut. so somehow we ought to learn to love it. someone really needs to write the banjo ballad of "Bertha and Dominic". (oh once there was a vast machine and Bertha was its name-o...)

I for one support the tunnel project.

I wish they'd hurry up and finish it so the city can get on with building that giant hot tub on the waterfront.
7
Dom, can you get the link to the Bertha webcam?

spiders
9
I thought it was broken, not stuck per se.
10
Is Bertha Still Stuck?

Yes, and along with it your reporting.
11
Maybe it should have the name changed to Breached Birtha.

@6 FTW.

I for one welcome our Cthulhu & Godzilla overlords set free by the Tunnel Of Not Being Built!

I have many friends unemployed because of this "situation". I'm sure the State is aware of the number of persons collecting benefits while this machine is being "fixed". But, just like everything else in Govt. short term memory loss is common and next year when everything is going smoothly we will forget the delays.

Please wait...
