Sad about the infrequency of cat and dog adoptions.

And good fucking god people are shooting out a lot of babies.

There is more sex-having in North Dakota than new-Twitter-following of Justin Bieber. This is good, probably.

(That was cool. Thanks for posting!)

Needs more events.

Definitely super neat, but is anyone else a little put off by the misleading nature of some of them? I'm sure they're balanced out for average, but there aren't likely people in Phoenix putting on condoms at that clip at 4:30 in the morning. Others though, the visibility of comets and birth/death rates for example, are probably far more accurate, regardless of variables. Still, I just stared at the thing for 15 consecutive minutes, pretty much mesmerized.

@4 - Well, yes. Each blip doesn't reflect one literal, distinct event.

Then again, maybe the fuckers of Phoenix are more consistent and persistent than we give them credit for.

God, the members of Parliament really need to flush more frequently... unless they are talking about Parliament/Funkadelic, in which case "make it funky" as just taken on a greater meaning.

@6
I have a hundred transcendent concert memories at the Gorge, but being in about 15th row, on acid, jumping in sync with over hundred packed sardine others, to G Clinton and Parliament, may have been the best.

@4: Hover your mouse over the image. The author notes that these are averages and laments not being able to include the pitch drop experiment.
9
Surely they can't be limiting it to "someone in North Dakota has sex with someone else."
10
Very nice. Unless you are in Florida, because then the turn signal of the car in front of you never blinks.
11
Yeah, thanks. That actually does provide some pretty helpful context.

@10,
My brother (living in Texas) says that the only time you'll ever see a turn signal flashing is if it was on when the person bought the car.

Please wait...
