I think you can extend the "brief golden age of local comedy" to at least through 2007, when Laff*Hole at Chop Suey was at its peak (especially as 2007 was the year documented in Clint Berquist's "Seattle Komedy Dokumentary" as found here on Vimeo: http://vimeo.com/15908363 )
