P.s. a friend of mine was filming the crowds in Pioneer Square because, what a cool event!

Then she noticed people staring at her.
Staring at the brown-skinned Asian woman in the black hoodie, head scarf, and dark sunglasses, obviously videotaping the crowd.

She is a westernized(1) thirty-ish goth chick(2) working in marketing(3), doing her marketing thing on a freezing-cold day(4). And she did see the humor in the situation.

(1) Not a Muslim terrorist!
(2) Hence the black hoodie.
(3) Which is why she was videoing the crowd.
(4) While wearing a headscarf.

@3 - I wish I'd seen more maniacs! All I saw, in my 3 1/2 hour tour were people freezing their asses off, straining to see whatever they could of the parade, and trying to keep warm
