re the buses are molasses this morning---another excellent argument why everybody has got to get behind building ROW public transportation all over the Seattle area, so people can be quickly transported above and below the cars when we have mob scenes like this.
@7 - A large van is ideal. You can pick up a lot of schoolchildren that way. Make sure you have puppies and candy in your van so they don't get bored back there.

Our buses were all overloaded and not stopping, so we bailed on taking the bus and went home to get the car. We picked up three people from our bus stop and drove them downtown too. One of them was from the East Coast visiting relatives and said how nice she found the people of Seattle to be despite being warned about the Seattle Freeze.
