Denton is a little Texas town, true, but as Jen knows since she lived there, there's a reason (worth mentioning) why an art collective would blossom in Denton and not, say, Wichita Falls. The University of North Texas in Denton is well-known in those parts as a mecca for musical talent. It's kind of a poor man's Julliard. So it's less surprising than it might seem to have a nice mix of artsy/creative types in Denton to support something like this than in just any random Lufkin.
