But, surely now the Fox News viewers will switch to MSNBC, right?
2
AND the MSNBC prez is making the on-air talking heads read the statement every hour. TOTAL BS.

These people hold the hoops & we jump.

Time for a BIG CHANGE in how we respond to their madness & our unwillingness to fight back.
3
Well, it does let them keep their sense of the moral high ground.
4
MSNBC is one institution on the left that I wish would just go away. It makes liberals look bad coming and going.
5
Man, that conservative boycott of MSNBC must have really hit home.
6
Anyone else just done with MSNBC at this point?
7
Anyone else just done with any news you can get from television at this point?
8
Aw, did the KKK's feelings get hurt?
9
@ 7 - Do The Daily Show and The Colbert Report count? If they don't count, then yes. Completely.
10
Is there a donation fund set up for the fired staffer? I'd gladly chip in.

"Anyone else just done with MSNBC at this point?"

Anyone who watches MSNBC or Fox News is going to be extremely misinformed and agitated about "matters" and "issues" they have zero control over. Turn off cable news and get the negative sensationalist energy out of your life.

They're not gutless, Dan (or pussies, or wimpy ballsacks, etc.) -- they're not on our side. MSNBC is a corporate entity that doesn't have to care, as long as they keep their little bottoms secure. Like the subs they are.

@ 11 - Wow, what a presumptuous, silly thing to say.

Anyone who watches ANY news is watching people talk about often upsetting "matters" and "issues" that the viewer has zero (or close to zero) control over. And why would you equate "[watching] MSNBC" with only watching MSNBC or watching a lot of MSNBC? For my part, I watch MSNBC because that is the channel that Rachel Maddow is on. And I watch her intermittently.

I get my foreign news from NPR, BBC, and Al Jazeera. I get my domestic news from NPR and The Daily Show. And I read. A lot.

But please, condescend to me more about how ill informed you know I am based on a single sentence I typed in the comments section of a blog. It makes you seem smart and superior.

@6 - not just done with MSNBC
@7 - not just done with television

I for one, am tired of paying outrageous cable bills and have been thinking of getting rid of the time sucking box for some time. I should be thanking the spineless sniveling coward for providing the straw that broke my tolerance back.

I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore. Oh wait, yes I am - I'll be taking my cable boxes back.

MSNBC is a corporate entity for sure. So far kindly Doc Maddow is not. Nor is their saturday morning programming. There is some real journalism going on in spite of the corporate bastards who own and run MSNBC. As long as real journalism is happening I will continue to watch MSNBC when Doc Maddow is on and on saturday mornings.

That said, I am so goddamn sick of these right wing racist bigots pretending outrage over the same goddamn things they do a hundred times a day, every day, every week, every month of every goddamn year. It sure as fuck isn't the liberal progressive folks who responded to the first Cheerios ad with racist vitriol. We need to take a page from the right wingers manual and clog every phone line and e-mail account we can find that is even remotely connected to MSNBC/NBC and their parent company demanding they rehire that staffer and to let loose the on air ire of every host and pundit that cares to weigh in on this bullshit. We all should be mad as hell and not take it anymore.

Gore Vidal, America needs you. You called William F. Buckley a "crypto-fascist" on national TV, drove him into a sputtering rage, and you DID NOT APOLOGIZE.

I love how people get so butt hurt over people dissing MSNBC. MSNBC is no different than Fox News. They are not news they are sensational television that repeats talking points over and over and over until they are your own thoughts and ideas. When you ask how can Fox News viewers be so stupid, can't they see that what they are parroting is a lie. Well they are asking the same thing about MSNBC viewers. Repetition especially by a trusted source is a powerful brainwashing technique. I honestly don't understand how anyone watches cable news anymore. Anyone who watches cable news is willfully letting themselves be programmed.

Yawn. Who. The. Fuck. Cares?

I threw out the tv a loooong time ago. TV news and the cable cabal made that choice so easy.

I read a lot, I get my news mostly the same way misckitty does.

But sometimes I go without checking in to see what is going on in the "news" world for a whole week or two at a time. When I check back in, hmmm, nothing much has changed and I have not missed anything that will affect my personal life, and I am so much happier! I sleep better too! There is a wonderful full life happening all around us and things we can control, I prefer to be happy and in control. I prefer to participate in real life. The right here, right now life that is in front of me.

Doc Maddow, Chris Hayes, MHP & Steve K keep me watching MSNBC online. I can't imagine choosing to pay for it, though.

Just wanted to say thanks for sticking up for pussies.

Please wait...
