And now I don't have to tune in to the stuper bowl at all, since the only interesting part has already been leaked online.
2
Looking forward to the ongoing adventures.
3
that is so adorable!
4
The Fox show doesn't apologize because Freedom! and First Amendment! and Cold, Dead Hands!

Fox show watchers love when Fox puffs out their chest, swings their dick around, and bellows forth their arrogant ignorance.
5
@4
do you know that because you have family who are Fox News watchers? Or are Fox News watchers the social scene you roll with?
6
@5 As the new token idiot that infests Slog with idiot comments, you really have no place trying to call out anyone else at all. But keep trying, you just look stupider and stupider by the day. Related to Bailo, I guess.
7
@6
NEW token idiot? I've been on Slog a helluva lot longer than you have.
And yes, Bailo and I were born as Siamese twins. When they chainsawed us separate at birth, he got the brains, and I got the heart.
What's the harm in asking Urgatha about these Fox News watchers s/he knows? I have cousins who watch the trash.

Only the most crusted fermented white supremacists are unnerved by interracial marriage these days. Republicans, conservatives and libertarians certainly don't care and have their own interracial marriages. Such as Mitch McConnell and his Asian wife.
11
@9
oh shit, what evidence? please answer, i won't snark and respond, I'm done for the morning with responding to stinky insinuations.
12
I demand an apology from Sean Hannity for looking like his face was grafted onto his head. Outrageous.
13
@12 Hannity: "I will NEVER apologize for my looking like my face was grafted onto my head!"
14
@5 Fox News is popular so some segment of the population does in fact enjoy watching it. It hardly seems like breaking news.
15
@13 The Beatles! I learned this week you came to America at some point in the past. All the news sites and a big magazine rack at Barnes and Noble told me about it. Kudos to you for jumping across the pond.
16
@15 Man, a half century sure does go by fast. Come on, stop making me feel old!
17
10@: Why would you say that someone is a white who has an Asian wifewould supremacist McConnell?
18
Seriously strange truck commercial. I now associate their product with cows having sex. Is that the intention?
19
@8 Not everyone who's against interracial relationships is a white supremacist, there are plenty of black nationalists that don't support it, and of the few billions people who are ethnically Asian, I'm sure a lot of them are against it as well.
20
@17 LOL wut?
21
Looks like that kid's going to business school.

Cute, but, like most sequels, not as good as the original.
22
I still can't figure out what MSNBC is apologizing for. Speaking the truth? And since when does"right wing" imply Republican? Is that how they identify? Because if it is, we can have a whole lot of fun with that!
23
@5,
When I lived in Florida, 99% of the crowd were Fox show watchers, so I got a lot of first hand witnessing experience.
24
That ad made me squee. Gracie's a sharp one. Love her.
25
@22: They apologized because it is incorrect to equate racism with the political left/right as such a broad generalization; or to use the vernacular (which I'm sure you would prefer) to play the race card.
26
Let's all just retweet MSNBC's deleted tweet! I did, and so should you.
27
As a dad who is wrapped around his daughter's little finger, I LOVE the new Gracie ad. And kudos to Cheerios for bringing back the name Gracie.
28
Should have edited the tweet to say "Richard Cohen" instead of "the rightwing."
29
@8: Oh really?
People with conventional views must repress a gag reflex when considering the mayor-elect of New York — a white man married to a black woman and with two biracial children.

From that hotbed of "crusted fermented white supremacists," the Washington Post op-ed page.
30
@23
yeah, when i watch my cousins watch Fox News, yeah, almost more than myself watching the news I watch them watching the news. I wonder if someone is watching me watch them watch the news?!?
31
@7 none of your schtick is worth reading, and that you can't be arsed to maintain your idiot online persona with any consistency any longer is telling.

How's your dead grandpaw doing these days?
32
@18: "people with conventional views" what in the world does that mean? Define "conventional". Seems antithetical considering how that paragraph begins "Today's GOP is not racist...". Then he goes on to say the NYC mayor's wife "used to be a lesbian"? Didn't he get the memo that sexual orientation is not chosen? Best to leave that hot potato and the mayor's wife out of his stream of consciousness post 'n go amateur style.
I think Richard Cohen either needs an editor or is having issues.
33
Darn. @32 refers to @29.
34
But notice the SStranger didn't say anything when MSNBC made fun of Mitt Romney's adopted grandson for being black. No one on Fox news to my knowledge said anything about the Cheerios commercial, but only a few white nationalist trolls living in their mother's basement did. But REPORTERS for MSNBC VICIOUSLY mocked a BABY because of the color of his skin and his adopted parents, and the SStranger didn't say anything. Wonder why?
35
@34- Nobody ever made fun of the kid for being black. They made fun of the rest of the family for being white as hell.
36
@35
So you would be okay if some idiotic white nationalist didn't make fun of the Cheerios girl but instead just mocked her mother? Would that be progress?
37
@30,
Not watching people watch news so much as hearing the guys a couple tables down in the local restaurant say stuff like "O'Reilly said those muslims should stick to their own country if they wanna build a mosque on grounds people were murdered on... and I agree! I'll throw those ragheads on the boats back to Iran myself!"

I don't know about Fox show watchers everywhere else, but the ones in the south aren't afraid to loudly proclaim their blind, ignorant worship of it at any opportunity, whether you want to hear it or not.
38
Always wondered how RWNJ's manage to get out of bed or leave their houses.

Oh right, tin foil hats....
39
@36- If her mom was ostentatiously displaying her biracial daughter in an attempt to win votes from minorities, then yeah, that'd be fine. The Right Wing Noise Machines reaction to the multiracial group of MSNBC commentators pointing out that the black kid was going to be raised in an atmosphere of overwhelming whiteness (which is a problem according to several of my adopted-by-white parents friends) was a hilarious attempt at victimhood claiming.
40
OMG Chevrolet! That ladykiller of a hereford took a ride across the Pennebacker bridge!

512 REPRESENT.
41
I agree with you, Dan. MSNBC shouldn't have apologized for that tweet. But, of course, Phil Griffin has already contacted Reince Priebus to personally apologize so that is that.

I just wonder whose head is going to roll at MSNBC to satisfy the ravenous, racist rightwing's blood thirst. Since Bashir's termination, I barely watch MSNBC anymore.

By the way, I've heard that Republicans are going to boycott going on MSNBC. That's fine with me but I wonder if Joe Scarborough will quit his show in solidarity with his rightwing pals. Would be nice.
42
I find it telling that Chevy chose a bull and cows whose coats all had the same color combination. Was that pure accident or a deliberate attempt to avoid any interracial imagery?
43
slinky @40: 512, Eastside!
44
@42: From a husbandry point of view, it makes sense. Cattle have been bred for centuries to be specialized for different purposes; some produce very good beef, some produce lots and lots of milk, some deal with harsh climates better than others. It makes sense to keep cows more-or-less purebred if you want them for a specific use.
45
@44, also it is TX. So miscegenation--bovine or otherwise--is frowned upon.

Bonus speculation: I believe the BBQ joint that's featured to be Iron Works, just across I-35 from Hipsterville...so Mr. Handsomecattleman might be on the prowl for some emo twink in skinny jeans.

It's a better spot with some subtext, I think.
46
@42, what 44 said, plus those are Beefmaster herefords....the most common breed 'round these here parts.

Although you see some black cattle and some white cattle here, red cattle are most common in Texas because of the climate. The sun is harsh and unforgiving, desperately hot for the black-coated animal and white-coated animals develop skin conditions.

Please wait...
