Wow "the race would have reproduced itself by some harmless mode of vegetation"
Now I have heard a lot of dumb shit from religionists but this must be the dumbest. They just gonna plant their seeds on the ground and babies will magically grow from the ground ? Event most plants have sex.

@1 The phrase is so non-sensical that it does seem damning as far as evidence of plagiarism is concerned.

1, you *do* realize, don't you, that those words come from the 4th C., right?

Surely Driscoll's books are written in the manner of The Bible? An angel guides his hand in a form of automatic writing so that the Lord's will be done? Sometimes the Lord repeats himself.
5
Uh, wasn't there also no death in the world until the Fall? Harmless vegetation or not, reproduction without death would get out of hand very quickly.

Creationists love to point at the complexities of the universe as evidence for intelligent design, and theologians justify the divinity of Christ by pointing at the connections between the texts that were chosen by a bunch of dudes to be in the Old Testament and the texts chosen by the same bunch to be in the New Testament. They must be rejoicing as they read these two passages! No matter how huge or complex the universe it, it is no more likely that these two passages materialized by random chance than a chimp sitting down at a typewriter could create the works of Shakespeare. Should we not take this as a sign that Driscoll is the next in a long line of prophets of God?

If Jesus told him to plagiarize, he gets a free pass.

Gregory sounds like hes addressing a problem that doesn't really make sense. In my mind the pre-Fall garden was completely natural and timeless, since no one was keeping track. Also, wouldn't all the other animals also then be vegetables? Some people say dumb stuff now(Sarah Palin), some people say dumb stuff in the 4th century. I wonder if it will take 1500 years for people to take Sarah seriously?

Since the republican party will probably not be around much longer, mercifully the quotes of sarah will be forever lost. The republican party, however, will drag her sorry ass around the media for her usual stupidity and "you betcha's" during the upcoming election cycles. She's always good for a laugh.
10
Harmless mode of vegetation! So that's where republicans come from!

Driscoll is a lazy hack. I am sure he'll blame his editors then expel them from his church.

Please wait...
