These guys are less Occupy and more Tea Party.

Right, because before Thaksin there was no corruption in Thailand. The vast majority of protesters aren't really upset about corruption, they're upset that someone else's corrupt politicians are in power rather than their own.

A lot of progressives are getting sucked into the idea that this is some sort of anti-establishment Occupy Bangkok movement, when in fact this is the old guard conservative establishment. Business people, the educated urban elite, military officers (including many who have played central roles in military coups). They support lower government spending, oppose Thaksin's healthcare initiative, want Thailand to take aggressive actions against Cambodia (close border crossing, occupy disputed lands, etc).

This Protest is as pro Democracy as the Bolsheviks.
These protesters are angry that the majority of the Thai people support this president.
If you want change you have to convince the MAJORITY that your agenda is the correct agenda.

Hey knee jerks, did you even read the links?
Respond to those rather than your own Seattle white guy opinions. You don't live there, you are talking out your asses.
