It warms my heart that the idea is catching on in more and more places. Maybe we can look forward to a day where Americans can afford to live better than one paycheck away from bankruptcy! That's the American Dream™, right?

The rich should want such things. They create a stable and peaceful populace. You'd think the people in the first-class cabins would want a boat that doesn't rock.

I hope all of these efforts include a “then index the new minimum wage to inflation” clause at the end.

It's almost as if the majority is realizing it is a majority.

There is a win, a very significant win, for the rich as @3 states. I'm very comfortable, financially, but (like rich and poor alike) don't like going through poor neighborhoods. I can mostly avoid them, but what if they mostly didn't exist?!?

Is the last 10% of your stock portfolio, luxury car, and McMansion worth living in less fear? Of having more peers? It is to me and that's how I vote.
