If you're really feeling sympathy for a tree, yes, you're a wuss. If you're regretting the waste of forest resources that Christmas trees represent, that's much easier to understand.

Christmas tree farms help with carbon sequestration. Buying a cut tree is less green than using a potted tree (although potted trees are extremely impractical), but they're not that much of a waste of resources.
