This Bizarro Robin Hood and her group of Merry Men have cost the government close to 1 Billion dollars in lost revenue because of the Republican Shutdown and she has the nerve to pretend that President Obama has performed impeachable acts. How does this imbecile keep getting elected?
2
Nobody takes Crazy Eyes Bachman seriously, even the other members of the Republican's "dumbest fucks on the planet" brigade. Other notable members include Steve King and Louie Gohmert.

3
To be fair, Obama has committed several impeachable offenses... it's just that her list of crazy doesn't address any of the crimes he's actually committed.
4
In her mind is right. It's ALL in their minds. Why do you think they can never recite a single actual offense supposedly committed?
6
@5 I think @3 is referencing "kill lists", drone strikes, and NSA spying.
7
...or assassinated an American citizen w/o due process, or spied on Americans using the authority of a secret rubber-stamp "court"...
9
Every President has committed "impeachable offenses". But we only go after them when it involves things like blow jobs or if they are black.
10
@3 Just remember, "Impeachable" is whatever it is, in the opinion of the House, our most political body (and currently controlled by a bunch of pissy idiots) and impeachment is a political act. There is no definition of "misdemeanors," they're whatever the House decides they are. On the other hand, "Impeached" is a decision of the Senate which must be reached by a two-thirds majority after a trial there.

So, without enough Democrats in the Senate who are both very angry at Obama, and willing to kowtow to the Republicans, there just aren't any pissy gripes from the House that could succeed in a Senate trial.
11
He can't be impeached since he isn't legitimately the president since he was born in Kenya.

12
Add we all love her bad lip reading thing, poor dear.
13
@4 I've actually heard a few right-wing folks list off his offenses against the constitution, but it comes down to things like "wrecking the economy" and "working with our enemies" and, always, always "he's trying to take my guns away". It's sort of remarkable, and I hope to live long enough to hear historians and scholars try to explain, with some kind of historical context, what the hell is going on here. Is it really the last gasps of a Christian straight white male hegemony? Will we finally take steps to ensure a our elected bodies actually represent the electorate? Will we see more Wacos and Ruby Ridges where the wackadoodles decide to go out in a blaze of glory/hail of gunfire rather than exist in a world that is greener (because we're depleting our resources) and browner (because their lilly-white asses will be a minority) and more atheistic than they felt they were promised? It will be interesting.

"...or assassinated an American citizen w/o due process, or spied on Americans using the authority of a secret rubber-stamp "court"..."

"kill lists, drone strikes, and NSA spying."

Where do you think these programs started? Where did the laws change so this was allowable? When Bush was approving the changing of all these rules I knew they would come back to bite the Republicans in the ass but they are so narrow minded all they could see is the moment when they were in power. President Obama is doing nothing illegal. He is just using the power the Republicans gave themselves under Bush. Not saying what he is doing is right but it's not illegal by the powers given to him.
15
@5 - Campaigning under false pretense should be an impeachable offense.
16
In Bachmann's mind, CO2 isn't a harmful gas, unelected bureaucratic "death panels" will decide your health care needs, and full employment can be achieved by eliminating the minimum wage, so really, this latest utterance seems pretty consistent in comparison.
17
@14 Obama as "Executive" could decide to not do those things... yet he does. Is there a law compelling him to allow the NSA spying?
18
I wish Michelle Godspeed in her effort to hold impeachment hearings in the House.

Presidents can only be impeached in the Senate.
19
"Campaigning under false pretense should be an impeachable offense."

Actually he has done quite well on his campaign promises if you look outside the conservative news bubble. And he has compromised on over half of his promises kept. Blows that lie out of the water:

Promise Kept 241 (45%)
Compromise 131 (25%)
Promise Broken 118 (22%)
Stalled 5 (1%)
In the Works 30 (6%)
Not yet rated 7 (1%)

"Obama as "Executive" could decide to not do those things... yet he does. Is there a law compelling him to allow the NSA spying?"

I've asked myself this many times. I wonder what type of intel he is seeing that made him keep the programs open and even expand them. I bet the intelligence is a little overwhelming when you first get in office. More than any President imagined on the campaign trail. There probably isn't much sleep those first few nights. And how much of that is real and not scare tactics by the CIA, FBI, NSA and the military so they can keep those large funds flowing in?
21
@20, and an incoming President (or even one who's had years in office) would have to spend all his/her time trying to determine if all that intel coming from all those agencies is relevant. Presidents have to trust; they have no time to verify.
22
People of Minnesota, we fucking hate you. Get your act together.
23
"And he has compromised on over half of his promises kept."

That should have been 'a third of his promises kept' not half.
24
14, hands up everyone who thinks that either McCain or Romney would have acted any differently.
25
@19 - Obama appears to be secretly pushing for a corporate takeover: http://www.democracynow.org/2013/10/4/a_…
26
I would say she gets stupider every day, but believing in the impending apocalypse still trumps not understanding the difference between the house and senate.
27
You are confusing "right" with legal again.
28
bring it.
29
Key words: "...in my mind..."
30
One of the theories about why Obama doesn't use the 14th amendment as a basis for the executive to unilaterally raise the debt ceiling is that then the house republicans would have some standing to impeach him (the case has been made that he'd violate the constitution if he did or didn't do this... so whatever). If they're going to impeach him anyway he should wear this as a proud badge of facing the wacko-music in order to save the republic. and while they -might- be able to impeach him, there's no way they can remove him from office; so like Clinton so Obama.
31
Ya know I have a theory that the reason Bachmann's eyes are so sunken is that a vacuum has formed with in her skull.
32
She also accused him "thuggery", which is just plain racist. She's a crook and a racist pig. And they will never impeach him, the fucking morons.
33
Thank God that women is not running for re-election. That said any district that would elect her in the first place is likely choose someone else just as crazy or more so.
34
Jesus. Not this bullshit again.

Didn't we have bunch of left wing dip shits right here in SLOG just a few weeks ago saying that Obama was a tyrant.

Oh. Hey. I see a couple are right in this thread now.

Well. Guess what? you think Obama is a tyrant? Michelle Bachman is the company you keep. And that's why nobody listens to your crazy fringe asses.

I've lived in places under ACTUAL tyrants. You know the kind that kick in your door in the middle of the night and disappear your ass for hanging a poster they didn't like. It's NOTHING like here in America. Nothing.

Spend a few years in places like that and then tell me about god damned tyrants, you entitled spoiled little whiners.

35
The voices in her head also have ordered her to kill Michael, Sydney, Matt, and that conniving, husband-stealing bitch Amanda by blowing up the whole apartment building.
36

I don't see how those Healthcare Exchanges opened up if a CR wasn't passed to fund them.

37
@3

See, that's the thing that gets me. There are so many reasons to be really pissed about Obama. Why do they have to make shit up?
38
@36 Simple the Healthcare Exchanges are NOT GOVERNMENT INSURANCE, they are publicly traded insurance corporations. Well I suppose some privately owned insurance companies too. But to sum it up for you, what is being sold on those exchanges is NOT GOVERNMENT INSURANCE.

Jeeezzzz
39
Crazy person says crazy things. That's not news, that's the Maury Show or something.
40
#7, I'm way down here! As a left wing liberal, I don't have to swallow everything other liberals say. This is someone who would love to KILL you. His assassination was seriously fucked up and wrong and I do protest, but
calling him simply an "American citizen" is purposely misleading. C'mon, you know i'm right!
41
@10 & @18: Impeachment means to bring up on charges. Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton were both impeached. Impeachment is basically a grand jury, of which is composed of the House. Impeachment does not mean removal from office.

For fucks sake, read the Constitution once in a while. Or buy a high school civics textbook. It is embarrassing that you would correct someone with the wrong answer when it takes 5 seconds to search for it.
42
If you want to impeach the man, then impeach the man. You've been talking about doing it since he got elected. Just fucking do it already, or go the fuck away.
43
For some reason, perhaps the weed I just smoked, I'm
really in the mood for some peach cobbler!
44
@33

I'm actually kind of disappointed that Bachmann isn't running again. It's crazy morons like her and Louis Gomert and Virginia Foxx that keep the U.S. House of Representatives entertaining.

The last thing we need are reasonable Republicans. The crazier the better. I'll continue to make popcorn.
45
My dream ticket 2016: Cruz/Bachmann -cut off cable TV and donate to the cause....hours of endless entertainment

Please wait...
