I'm going to not use twitter even more than I'm not using it now.

Once you take venture capitalists' money, at some point you have to find other, bigger VC to buy them out or you have to IPO. VC want a good return on their investment. The only alternative is to sell the venture to a larger company like Microsoft, Apple or Google.

This is the life of a tech startup.

Next, expect Twitter to monetize with paid subscriptions to premium versions, feed subscriptions with shared revenue streams for the most popular feeds, premium plans for select partners that share some key data on their feed subscribers, and more ads.

@3, @5: I was once you. Then I started following comedians and comedy sites, and I realized I was wrong.

I like twitter enough to accept sponsored tweets but probably not enough to watch a video advertisement.
