Good to learn Mudede didn't feel bad crossing the picket line considering he's my sole ethical compass.
2
Fortunate photo op for Harrell since Capitol Hill is a short drive to I-90 or 520 to get back to the Bellevue Condo for the holiday.

Pandering season is in full swing I see.

@1:

Informational pickets aren't intended to block access, they're pretty much just what they sound like - an opportunity to engage and to educate the public on bargaining issues.

If this had been a work-stoppage strike you would easily be able to tell the difference.

Ed Murray has shopped at QFC for 29 years? Is he running for mayor of Cincinnati? There's a great worker-owned local grocery store on 16th and Madison.

@4, thank you. @5, he didn't say he only shopped at QFC, did he? My recollection is that for most of those years Ed lived two blocks away from it. It was practically his corner store. By contrast, back then what you know as Madison Market was still Central Co-op, and was on 12th, with a fantastic vibe but much more limited range of products than today.

@5 Good thing he had the foresight to shop at QFC years before Kroger accidentally bought them. Cincinnati electorate take note.

The most important, unasked, question here is... what would Matt Luby do?
9
If only we knew how grocery store informational pickets work in Havana. Where is Mary Martin on all this?

The stores want to eliminate health care for employees working less than 30 hours a week and jack up health care costs for everyone else.

If you voted for Obama, you voted for that.

It's odd that McGinn would picket at that Safeway store when the Fred Meyer on 85th is so much closer to his home. Or did he not want to picket where he eats ?

Please wait...
