For me, the biggest downside is that Rodney Tom still hasn't been run over by a gasoline tanker.
2
Compromise and collaboration is clearly the most important thing to look for in a politician. Never mind the consequences.
3
Glad to hear they agreed to find $1 billion for K-12 and $200 for higher ed.

Right?

That said, time to stop subsidizing those Takers in the rest of the state that rely on Seattle taxes to pay for their roads and schools.

You guys should be praising that they came to a compromise. Its the lack of a compromise thats destroying politics in Washington.

So you didnt get gold plated portable bathrooms with 3D iPad displays, big woof.
5
#3 so the rest of the state should not get roads or school funding because the state as a whole is unable to adequately fund its needs? Flawed logic
6
I'll be happy when they detail who got tax exemptions in the deal, @5.

Now get off my lawn!
7
Am I the only one that finds the idea of a government shutdown exciting?
8
So we'll still get crush loaded rush hour metro buses when those metro cuts come down the pike in spite of this compromise.

Okay, then. Time to close any state prisons outside of King County and house the inmates here. And shut down all state colleges and universities outside of King County. No more state food inspections outside of King County. Close the state parks outside of King County. And let's not maintain any roads outside of King County, including the Interstates.
10
@7 as someone who's lived through MN shut downs, they are not exciting, just frustrating.
11
@9. Yeah, that's fine. Let them ask for the money, or tax themselves, or let us choose to pay for it.
12
@11, so no one from King County ever attended Evergreen State college? No Seattle criminal ever got housed in the slammer at Walla Walla? No one from Bellevue ever drove on the Interstates outside the county? No one from Seattle ever visited a state park outside the county? O.K, so we're an island now. That ought to work out real well.
13
@12 I said get off my lawn. And stop stealing my garden gnomes!
14
I'm with #1.
15
@13, I guess you don't know anyone who attended a Washington State higher ed institution located anywhere but King County. Welcome to your bubble.

Please wait...
