You are taking him too seriously. He gets paid to criticize Dems, not to be consistent.
2
@1 beat me to it: It's not a broken mind. It's an actor, performing.
3
You actually think that Hannity believes anything? He's a huckster, a shill, a wind up monkey that says what his audience wants to hear in order to earn ratings and stack that paper.

He's not even a hypocrite. He's a pundit. He's Dick Morris with a much better hair cut.
4
This is what the call "principles"? Whatever is expedient. He's a dolt and a lackey, anyway.
5
I'm pretty much convinced that Fox News must have a central office of writers who write the stories and then parse them out to the "anchors" on Fox News depending on whatever their shtick is supposed to be. Every once in awhile someone will go off the rails and it's kinda obvious, but the way the GOP, RNC, and Fox News talking points line up is obviously coordinated.
6
False equivocation.

What this clip doesn't show is that before the recent revelations everyone thought the NSA was targeting only international communications. Now we all know it's a huge domestic dragnet, which is what Mr. Hannity and and we are all concerned about.
7
I don't expect Sean Hannity does anything more than read his teleprompter, but it is indicting of Fox News' blatantly partisan slant. As if we needed further proof of that.

Honestly I think my level of outrage is about the same at learning that the Bush and Obama administrations were spying on all Americans.

I wish I lived in a better country.

@6,

How convenient.

/rolls eyes

Even if what you wrote were true, which I doubt, fox "news" has lost all credibility. I wouldn't believe them even if they did report something factual. They've simply used up every ounce of faith anyone ever had in them. They are untrustworthy, biased, and opportunistic to their core.
10
@7: MSNBC also has a blatantly partisan slant. But that's okay right? It's good to have choices.
12
@1 Still, it's important to occasionally document how Fox News is not real news, considering how many people still watch it as a legitimate (and perhaps their only) news source.
13
@10 NBC let's Republicans go on and on without a single, meaningful challenge. It's revolting.
14
You know who's a lot like Hannity? Joe Biden.

Not to mention most Republicans, Democrats, and their loyal team members.

13, beat me to it. The whole "they do it to" is complete bullshit. Still, it's an immature reaction, school-ground "Billy did it, too!" reasoning. raindrop is admitting that Fox is "blatantly partisan" and doesn't have a problem w/ that. So, raindrop, what we don't like is not the partisan slant, but that they claim to be an actual source of news, and not what they are, an entertainment channel presenting fiction. See how this works?

The real issue is that conservatives used to be part of a certain morality that was acceptable. Humans have moved on, like they do, and realized that how they acted in the past was pretty fucked up and now we're going to do things a little bit better. Conservatives are still clinging to a morality that we know is bankrupt. Simply put, they'd rather pretend to be nice people, while still being hateful little shits, instead of growing up and getting rid of their hate & fear.

Oh, also some facts that often get lost: Bush took us into a war on false premises, did nothing to prevent 9/11, and Reagan sold weapons to state enemies to finance terrorists.
16
What are you talking about? Obama is not "spying on everyone". And yes - we are all hypocrites. Almost every human being in this country is fine sharing all of their personal information - credit card numbers, social security card numbers, private information, et.al - on Facebook, Twitter Google.. any damn corporation that wants it. Yet these same people have the nerve to whine about the NSA looking for patterns related to phone call records and internet uses - in order to keep the next terrorist incident from happening. If I'm making calls to terrorist cells in Pakistan, then I guess I would also complain about the NSA doing it's job. Jesus H. Christ people.
17
@11: One 'bullshit', one 'fuck', and two 'fuckings' - ouch!

@15: So if I find out about the NSA, tornados, and terrorist bombings on Fox News they might not have happened because because Fox is not a real news channel. And given that that Fox, as all news organizations, use the AP, Reuters, and other services for their sources I should be skeptical of that as well. Okay, I'll keep that in mind.
19
@18: Please remember that your are entitled to your opinions but not your own facts. Likewise, you cannot label my opinions as misinformation just because you disagree with them.
21
@17,
Rupert Murdoch admitted in an interview and in court that Fox "news" is for entertainment, not facts, and that he and the other directors there freely manipulate the material they receive because they want to present a biased agenda.

Google it. It's all public info.
22
@16 There's millions of people not making calls to Pakistan under surveillance. Also, if Google does some form of surveillance or if people give up their personal info, it doesn't excuse the state--quite the opposite actually (although I'm surprised this has to be pointed out as the differences are freaking obvious).

BTW, I never seem to input my CC number and SSN into what claim to be unencrypted databases or connections, though, so I don't get what you're saying. I know it's not secure, but anytime I enter my credit card I'm taking the chance but I also know it has some rudimentary encryption.

@19 The same can be said for you. You're wrong. Your original comment was point-blank wrong. It couldn't be clearer. Just look at all the Bush programs (@20 is one of MANY) that didn't cause Hannity or Beck to clutch their pearls at all.

Also, nice to see some true "patriots" come out and seize on an actual scandal--but where were they when Bush was running all over the 4th Amendment and the National Security Act?

@5

I'm guessing that somewhere deep in your brain, you're recalling the time when Steve Doocy proved exactly the scenario you're describing on an episode of Fox & Friends, and it's just not rising to the surface. Here you go, this should help you remember. (Scroll down to the video and jump to 3:15 to go directly to the part with Doocy.)

How naive. Read Daniel Estulin's (and other independent investigative journalists') research around who owns and controls the mainstream media. Central bankers are in control.

Central bankers hate the US Constitution because it is a big problem on the way to world communism. Communism is wonderful for the central bankers because it ensures we will no longer have any rights to challenge their power.

Hannity and the majority of "news" (propaganda) journalists are paid to say whatever the powers that be want them to say. Otherwise, they would not have a job.

Study the work of social engineering world headquarters, aka the Tavistock Institute of Human Relations in London UK, and you will understand that it was essential to create the illusion of free choice by taking over the media and allowing a variety of different outlets for the same message. Otherwise, the masses would never get on board with the message.

This was an essential ingredient in their research findings for being able to convince the public that the media was still free. It works very well, as you can see.
25
@24: Hey, how come you're just talking about the bankers? Don't we Jews get any credit?
26
Weird how Republicans have recently discovered the Patriot Act.

Please wait...
