What? That the Stranger is available there? Or that it's a top to the Weekly's bottom in newsbox configurations?
3
Dude! Google eyes!
4
Sorry, Everett. All the googly eyes in the world won't make you not Everett.

Jason strikes again.

In Soviet Everett, Stranger boxes watch you!

@4: just curious, but what do you have against Everett? They make cool planes there! Also, lots of interesting associated composites and high end welding shops.

PSA people! The weather is getting lovely. Even paper boxes can see that! But it is also the time of year that creeps are looking for opportunities. Make sure windows and doors are secured at night! Many horrible crimes are committed when a door is left unlocked or an open window is not secured. Don't leave yourself or loved one's vulnerable! Just one slip is all it takes!

@7 Downtown Everett doesn't have much going for it, Sven. It's a ghost town after 6 PM (because no one actually lives in downtown Everett), any nightlife or music venue that's worth a damn is either out of business or about to go out of business (again, because no one lives there - how do you keep an active nightlife scene without foot traffic?), and aside from the new arena, it looks and feels like a place on the decline. Boeing is its own animal, but downtown Everett isn't high on many people's lists of places to hang out.

The only good reason to go to Downtown Everett is Roller Derby at Everett Community College (Jet City) and the Comcast Arena (Tilted Thunder). Otherwise, the area is pretty vacant.

At least we don't use the boxes as barricades to block roads. Though that would make downtown interesting.

@9: ah. Bummer.

Everett is as boring/exciting as Seattle. Maybe if you are gay, you might prefer Seattle for various reasons. That's all I got, another vapid Slog topic, but at least it doesn't have to do with movies.

Downtown Everett has a few cool spots. Don't know how they're doing financially-- they may, indeed, be about to close-- but I like Tony V's, Zippy's Java Lounge, Anchor Pub and the Co-Op is great.
