Smart, fancy and wise are certainly better than tight.

Don't forget, it's now ok to buy French wine too.

Maybe some here are too young to remember Anita Bryant. Well, she came out tooth and Jesus nail with her hate. But she didn't know that thousands of gay bars used Florida orange juice in their bars. Florida orange juice was her sponsor. We boycotted the juice and she lost her job. Big mouth stupid bitch. Let's not forget this lesson, as wisepunk suggests, and start an effort to boycott wineries that support these Republican pricks.

And, as my grandmother always said, "it is better to be a smartass than a dumbass"

My spousal critter was just saying this morning how much smarter and funnier Slog commentors are than other local blogs.

Yours truly excepted, of course.

Eh...uncomfortable with this idea, unless you can consider being located in the same county as "support." I'd encourage people to write to these wineries and say that having this representation certainly gives their county a bad name, and you on't be traveling there in the future, but I wouldn't boycott the winery unless you know they've given material support to this agenda. The winery is sure to feel like they are being made an unfair target, and outside observers will say "They mean gays are bullying the winery just like they are bullying that poor florist."
7
It is fair to say that while you don't hold the winery directly responsible for the views of it's representative, you will prefer wines from that region where the wineries owners have actively opposed this measure.

Charles Smith is a mysoginistic douchebag...

This is well known.

I love the idea but let's focus on those who have actually donated money to Hewitt. The WA PDC has a searchable database and this is the shortened url to Mike's 2012 race donors:
http://goo.gl/pVhCn

The list includes lots of people who probably care what you think including:

Progressive Insurance, Allstate Insurance, Anheuser Busch, Hood river Distillery, Seattle Mariners, Enterprise Rent a car, Kroger, Public School employees Union, BECU, Washington Teamsters.

Peruse the list and find your own favorites. If you click on the far left column it includes some contact info. Be respectful but I'm sure that companies like Progressive Insurance would like to know that Mike Hewitt isn't so progressive.

Both Microsoft and Vulcan are repeat donors. Wonder if they are proud of that.

Please wait...
