Deeply charming dive? I took an informal date there once after they spruced up a bit in the early 90s with only a new sign (as it turned out). So embarrassing. Would have impressed my date more by finding a nice meal truck somewhere. This place was awful - and as far as I can tell, was always awful. But how many awful places hang around forever in Seattle?
I didn't mind First Hill Bar & Grill. Wish they had a bit more greek food than the diner stuff, but I'll still miss it. Strong drinks, greasy breakfasts, I liked it a lot better than the other surrounding diners, at least.

I loved First Hill Bar and Grill. The waitresses were personable and treated us like family, the food was good and affordable considering the portions they gave. I will miss them, but I will also embrace the new tenant.
