Bethany,
I noticed a painting by Nicholai Fechin on the cover of the A & P issue. I recently viewed the exhibition at the Frye. Outstanding! I recommend with flying colors.
@lark: I know, they are just amazing! I love the older rich guy who just oozes jerkiness, and the little girl with the look on her face that makes you instantly think "GLAD I DO NOT HAVE TO DEAL WITH HER!" and the teapot, which appears to have a personality more complex than many humans'. I'm fixing to go back and stare at them some more.
Bethany,
I, too liked those. But, I found that the guy had a wide range. "Peasant Hut" was awesome. The guy could do landscapes! And, I noticed how the colors changed when he relocated. Those paintings in New Mexico were spectacular. His models were gorgeous as well. A terrific show and it's free.
