Sadly, I can think of a few people I know in the Chicago area who might have done such a thing (I went to a pretty conservatard catholic high school there and it seems everyone had a tie to the Bears).

But, I'm glad to see that the Bears organization stepped in quickly to quash the connection to them.

"Personal donations" sounds to me like some individuals on the team might agree with Morse but that the team itself does not take a position.

So ummm, it took the Seahawks a dozen attempted (and ignored) contacts AND a "calling-them-out" Slog post to get them to answer, and it only took the Bears 6 hours to answer?

That Ms. Lavender, is why you own the biggest PR fail of the year in Seattle.

I can't believe so many commenters here are equating a blatant lie told by NOM to a stupid Tweet by Chris Clemons. The responsibility of a team to disavow a connection with the former is far more pressing than that of the latter.

Totally irresponsible, Slog. There was no reason for yesterday's post that basically accused the Bears of being in bed with NOM, posted without waiting for a response. So you stir up a non-story, make the Bears look bad for 24 hours and then straighten it out. Weak shit.
