This episode just happened to air on IFC today. I had to stop and watch it, even though I've seen every episode multiple times.
I have no interest in most high school-centric tv shows because I figure living through it once was enough. But, Freaks and Geeks is something special. It transcends our individual and collective experiences in a way that is unique, entertaining and brilliant.
Seriously, though, no show has ever done a better explanation of why any character (teenager, adult, any-aged person) is so detached and sarcastic than this episode. And her family only gets screen time for a tiny portion of the episode.

@1: Are you joking? If not, then you just somehow made yourself look even more idiotic.
Anne Perkins!

Just a suggestion.
