One suggestion to the dudes at comicon, unless you're hung wear a cup. Seen way to many dudes in spandex downtown today showing off their acorns. Its cold out there, plan for shrinkage and wear a cup...
I honestly have little to no problem with people changing their skin tone to match a costume. If the character you're dressing up as is black, or Mexican or white or whatever, and you're not of that race, change your skin tone with makeup. It's not like you're lampooning or disrespecting a race by honoring somebody famous of its race by dressing up like them.
I felt the same way over the Purim dude. Unless his costume was intended as being disrespectful.
