Well, the job may suck, but it's a restaurant job; the employers were the ones that really sucked. With ethical employers, the hours would have been decent and the wages would have been legal.

I've passed by that restaurant when I've been in SF. Never bought anything from them and never will now. When I first read this article, the fine was mentioned, but there was nothing about criminal charges, which I hope are forthcoming.

What is needed are more readily available Green Cards with longer terms. Get people on the books and under the protection of US law. They could do that tomorrow without all the posturing about citizenship.

This only affects the relative suck of my job; my job still sucks in absolute terms.

Exactly! The job may suck, but this sure sounds like a libertarian paradise to me.

It may be just a drop in the bucket of a larger issue, but I'm so proud this city actively pursues these cases.

I'm surprised they got $4/hr. Undocumented delivery workers in New York are lucky to get that much per *day* (not including tips).
