So I guess the weirdo gunman who goes and shoots off 50 rounds in the parking lot of a crowded shopping mall without injuring anyone qualifies as a humanitarian. What a heartwarming tale!

What the OC gunman says to me is we have become so addicted to firearms that we'll just stand there in the street and fire away, fifty rounds in a shopping mall just for entertainment. He wasn't trying to kill anyone. He was just showing us how responsible gun owners roll these days.

Yeah the shooting headline is pretty tacky. Just because nobody was hurt and it happened at a froufrou mall doesn't mean you should be snarky and dismissive about it, especially right now. Come on.

Well, hey, who hasn't popped off 50 rounds in a parking lot? I know have. (In my defense, Hunter Thompson was standing next to me, and he burned through a helluva lot more ammo. And it was well after midnight. In Aspen.)

About that injured pedestrian ... where are all the bicycle and pedestrian advocates, condemning the reckless driver? Oh, I see, he was hit by a train. Anything done by a train driver is right.
