Thanks for making mention of this glaring error. I'm not usually one to write to politicians ... mostly because I know how useless it can be ... but I felt compelled to voice my disappointment about President Obama on this particular issue in the comments on the White House website.

Probably won't do any good but it made me feel better.

It's not an oversight. It's that Democrats decided to stop pressing the issue after Republicans successfully turned the message of "they're going to take your guns away" into a series of electoral victories.

The real issue is more and more insane twenty somethings.

People like the Portland Mall Shooter who look for everything like the typical guy walking down University Ave.

Listening to the vituperative and hostile nature of comments in hip Seattle forums, none of it surprises me.

You people are angry. And so you cling to your affectations.

When you don't get what you want, you strike out against whatever bogeyman or scapegoat is handy.

But now the mirror is pointing right back at you...

If you email the White House using the handy-dandy form they provide, "gun control" is not on the drop-down box of possible topics, either.
