I keep mistaking McGinn for a just married bear in all of these pictures.
2
Does anyone know the percentage of female couples to male couples?
3
*Sniff* Congrats, all of you!
4
Beautiful! Just beautiful!

I was doing ok until picture #11. There's something so emotional about that hug, just beautiful :) I think the absence of protesters is really notable as well, things are truly changing and it so amazing. Congrats to all of the happy couples!

Oh, Kelly. You made me cry. xxxooo
7
Even though I hate marriage as an institution I am glad that these people got their civil rights. I hope that they are just as happy next year as they are now.
8
This is just beautiful. Congratulations to everyone.

Misty morning...

@ 7..one of the ( many ) things that struck me was how many of these folks have been in really long term relationships. it seemed most had at least one decade behind them, most have already had 'commitment ' ceremonies or self sanctioned , but community approved marriages my own relationship, with friendship, dating and ceremony combined, clocks in at 20 years plus. ceremoniously married 3 and half years ago, i doubt that a year from now we'll be calling it quits. but maybe there is something magical about legal marriage that will change this..
we will see...

I didn't know Rob Reiner was gay.

Once again, you made me cry on the bus. This weekend was so wonderful! I was floating on a cloud of love.
13
Awww, so much joy captured! My heart is bursting to see so much love!

Ack. More happy tears. [I guess I'd better get accustomed to it.]

I've enjoyed seeing how the couples dressed for the happy occasion: some in quite matchy-matchy attire, others in just plain clothes ... and then there were the shorts. However, one of the best was of what I'm calling The Officer and A Gentlewoman.

Still, for sheer emotional impact, the hug in #11 slays me, even though we can't see either man's face. But, then, we don't really need to.
15
Thanks for working yesterday, Kelly. Your skill with a camera is amazing, and many of us appreciate your documentation of this day.
16
That hug in #11 summates this entire journey for marriage equality. Well done everyone and congratulations!

Congratz to all:)

Honored to live in such a brilliant State in the fabulous city of Seattle. God bless our collective tolerance and the wonderful children of our most diverse communities. These children, including my daughter, will also help to make this World a better place, by setting examples followed from their parents. What an amazing day. What an amazing City. What an amazing leap forward. Xoz

So happy to see so many loving couples. I know for me the day I married my husband of 27 years was the most powerful day of our lives. WE had already been together 22 years but I was taken aback by how special it was to finally be married. Once again Congratulations to one and all. The world is a changin!

Also, a shout out to the men in #5. I think they look beautiful.

Oh, and @2, Catalina: I read somewhere it was about 2/3 women and 1/3 men.
30
One of the happiest days of my life, and I didn't even get married...The joy in these pics is contagious.
31
Thank you for sharing these. Just like every wedding photo I've ever seen, I'm smiling and crying over your flowers, clothes, and joy. Congratulations to everyone!

Just Marriage. Just wonderful!
35
So beautiful...I'm so happy for everyone. But it's a little bittersweet...so many of these people have lived nearly their whole lives, and are just only now allowed to get married. It should not have taken so long.
36
I love the pictures of couples with what are presumably(?) their children.

Please wait...
