The Sanctuary at Admiral will host weddings for 20 couples and the last the West Seattle Blog updated they still have spots open. I don't know for sure if it's free for the couples but it sounds like it is.
I can vouch for the minister at Saltwater, @7. He did both my grandparents' memorial services and my wedding years ago, and he is a kind, gracious guy and one of the best UU ministers I've had the pleasure of meeting.
Just do what Occupy idiots do, just show up at any park and have it there. No need for a permit like I and my wife had to apply for, just show up and piss people off.
R Place (619 E. Pine, Seattle) will be hosting one at midnight, too. Ceremonies will be officiated by the gent who performed my own wedding, lo these nearly 20 years ago. Details at http://www.griffinschapel.com/ .
Also R Place (619 E. Pine, Seattle). The officiant for the event performed my own wedding, lo these 20 years ago. Details at http://www.griffinschapel.com/
@9, agree knowing some people who are getting married. I hope SCOTUS interprets it as a right if they choose to weigh. I view it as the equal protection issue of this generation, but I'm worried it's a year or two ahead of being a no-brainer with only a handful of states recognizing it.
I'm the pastor at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church on Greenwood and 132nd...if your desire is to have a faith component to your wedding that leans in a Lutheran direction...go to our website: www.luthermemorialseattle.com and contact me! We'll welcome you as we welcome all...we are a Reconciling Congregation. Either way....blessings and joy~!!
As of today, the Skansonia and Lake Union Cafe still have openings. It's totally free: ceremony, food and drinks, flowers, music, and photos! I'll be on the Skansonia performing the ceremony!
I haven't checked availability or details, but the Center for Spiritual Living (spiritualliving.org) is having a "Big Gay Wedding" for 100 couples and up to 6 friends or family members.
